Sale and Relocation of Farmhouse Located at 7575 Kennedy Road South

Relocation Only – No Land Ownership Rights

The Corporation of the City of Brampton intends to declare surplus and dispose the following farmhouse for sale and relocation:

LANDS AFFECTED

The municipal address of the farmhouse is 7575 Kennedy Road South, Brampton. Main intersection is Kennedy Road South and Highway 407.

No land ownership rights will be transferred as part of the proposed transaction. Surplus declaration and disposal of the farmhouse applies to building improvement only.

EXPLANATORY NOTE

The City of Brampton (“City”) owns property located on the east of Kennedy Road South and north of Highway 407, municipally known as 7575 Kennedy Road South, also known as “The CAA Lands.” The City is not declaring
surplus for disposal any property rights with this notice. The farmhouse is no longer required for municipal purposes.

Interested parties are invited to submit proposals to relocate, at no cost to the City, the farmhouse located at 7575 Kennedy Road.

All permits, relocation costs, insurance requirements, and restoration costs for the farmhouse are the responsibility of the successful buyer. The relocation is to be at no cost the City. Nominal bids will be considered.

The successful buyer will be responsible for leaving the site in a stable, safe condition, including repair/restoration of any area(s) damaged during removal operations, and removal of any remaining foundation and/or other structures, as well as backfill and regrading of the property.

SITE TOUR

A site tour of the exterior of the house is scheduled for Thursday June 20, 2019 at 10:00 am.  A tour of
the farmhouse’s interior is not permitted.

Interested parties must submit their proposal not later than 2:00 p.m., local time on TUESDAY AUGUST 6, 2019 to the attention of Diane Oliveira, Purchasing Manager at diane.oliveira@brampton.ca.
