REFER TO DETAILS BELOW AND RFP DOCUMENTS AT: https://procurementoffice.bonfirehub.ca/opportunities/65492 ** Relevant documents regarding this procurement may be found at the following link: https://procurementoffice.bonfirehub.ca/opportunities/65492 The RFP Contact for this procurement is: ChrisGibsonRecCentreRFP@procurementadvisor.ca Submission for this solicitation shall be submitted to the following location: https://procurementoffice.bonfirehub.ca/opportunities/65492 The Corporation of the City of Brampton (the “City”) is seeking detailed proposals from proponents interested in providing general contracting services to complete the addition and renovations at the existing Chris Gibson Recreation Centre located at 125 McLaughlin Road North, Brampton, Ontario. The expansion of Chris Gibson Recreation Centre is part of a larger strategic plan that includes the future transformation and revitalization of older recreation centres in Brampton. The completion of this project will allow for increased programming opportunities in this high-density urban area and complement the outdoor amenities located at this location. It will create a larger destination facility that can be operated more efficiently, while increasing programming use. The project consists of a renovation area of approximately thirty-nine thousand (39,000) square feet and new addition area of sixty-nine thousand (69,000) square feet, which will more than double the current facility size to an overall one hundred sixteen thousand (116,000) square feet. The addition will include a two-storey (2-storey) structure to accommodate an arena ice pad, a gymnasium, and three (3) dance studios on the second (2nd) floor.
Mandatory Site Visit Date(s) April 21, 2023 at 10:00 a.m. local time OR April 24, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. local time Location Front Entrance 125 McLaughlin Road North, Brampton, Ontario The site visit is a mandatory stage in this RFP process. Only proponents who have sent a minimum of one (1) representative to one (1) of the two (2) scheduled mandatory site visits will be permitted to submit a proposal for this RFP. Each individual attending a site visit is required to register their attendance with a member of the City’s staff at the front entrance prior to the start of that particular site visit. Proponents should note that site visits will start promptly at the time noted above. Proponents should note that if they arrive after the start of the particular site visit, their attendance will not be registered and they will not be able to submit a proposal for this RFP. Substantial Performance of Work shall be by September 30, 2025 |
