Hiring of a consultant to complete due diligence studies to facilitate the conversion of rail to trail. The due diligence will include detailed design, followed by technical studies such as topographic surveys, Railway to Trail implementation strategy, traffic analysis study, phasing & cost implementation strategy etc. The conversion of the railway line to a recreational trail will provide Environmental, Social and Economic benefits to the City. The recreational trail will connect not only City neighborhoods, but will provide active recreational connection to neighboring municipalities such as the Town of Caledon and the City of Mississauga. |
